Corporate matching
Thousands of employers match charitable gifts dollar for dollar. Send us your company name and we will confirm eligibility and file the match request for you, so a $100 gift becomes $200 of emergency aid.
Make a Difference
Emergency giving
Every donation becomes emergency aid for a child who cannot wait. When a family loses housing, a prescription goes unfilled, or a student falls behind, Bright Futures Kids Foundation steps in with rent help, counseling, healthcare access, and tutoring. Choose an amount below and your support goes to work this week.
Donations are processed securely, and every gift is receipted for tax purposes. Prefer to give monthly? You can switch to recurring giving on the next step.
Ways to give
Every gift goes straight to work. Pick a one-time amount to meet an urgent need this week, or give monthly so a child has steady support through the whole school year. Each amount below is tied to a real, tangible result for a family we serve.
Start your donation here and you will be taken to our secure payment page to finish in under a minute. Monthly gifts can be paused or changed any time.
Recurring gifts let our caseworkers commit to a child before a crisis hits, instead of waiting for the next wave of donations.
Payments are processed on a PCI-compliant platform. We never store your card details on our servers.
Bright Futures Kids Foundation is a registered nonprofit, and every receipt includes our tax ID for your records.
Pause, change, or cancel a monthly gift any time by replying to your receipt or calling our donor care team.
“When our rent assistance came through, Maya could stay in the same school and keep her tutor. That one decision changed her whole year.”
Your Impact in Numbers
Last year, donor gifts reached 12,480 children across 38 communities with emergency aid, counseling, healthcare, and tutoring. Every figure below comes from our annual program audit, published each spring.
We report outcomes, not just totals: how many families kept their housing, how many kids finished the school year, how many counseling sessions were delivered. Choose a giving amount on this page once you have seen the numbers.
87¢
of every dollar goes straight to programs for children.
Full transparency
Every gift is split across the four programs that keep a child safe, healthy, and in school. Of each dollar we receive, 87 cents funds direct services, 8 cents covers administration, and 5 cents supports fundraising so we can reach the next family. Here is how the program share breaks down.
Rent, utilities, groceries, and transport released within 72 hours so a family in crisis stays together and a child stays in one school.
After-school tutoring, school supplies, exam fees, and scholarships that help students catch up and finish the year on track.
Clinic visits, prescriptions, dental and vision care, and the paperwork support families need to enroll in ongoing coverage.
One-to-one sessions with licensed child counselors, family support groups, and crisis response for kids carrying more than they should.
Donor Voices
Monthly donors tell us the same thing: steady giving is what keeps emergency aid ready before a family ever has to ask. Below, supporters who give every month explain in their own words why they started and why they stay.
“I give $35 a month because it is quiet and dependable. A family in crisis does not schedule the crisis — the money has to already be there.”
“The first report I got showed exactly how many counseling sessions my giving covered that quarter. I have never had to wonder where it went.”
“We teach our kids that help should arrive fast. Setting up a recurring gift was the simplest way to show them what that looks like.”
“I tutor on Thursdays, so I see the same students the donations reach. The giving and the showing up are the same decision for me.”
“Twenty dollars a month felt small until I read that it covers a child’s healthcare visit. Small and steady adds up faster than I expected.”
“Our block started pooling monthly gifts after one family on our street needed emergency help. Now fourteen households give together every month.”
Beyond a one-time gift
There are four more ways to fund emergency aid for children: corporate matching, planned giving, in-kind donations, and community fundraising events. Each one turns a different kind of generosity into counseling sessions, school supplies, medical visits, and rent kept paid. Pick the path that fits you — our team will handle the paperwork.

Giving FAQ
Every question below is one our donor care team answers most often — tax deductibility, where the money lands, how to change a monthly gift, and what happens if something goes wrong. If your question isn't here, a real person will answer it within one business day.
Yes. Bright Futures Kids Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization, and gifts from donors in the United States are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Our tax identification number is printed on every receipt we send, so you can file without chasing paperwork. Keep that emailed receipt — it is the documentation your accountant needs.
Your gift is directed into the four program areas that keep children stable and in school:

You stay in control of a recurring gift at all times. Every monthly receipt includes a secure management link where you can raise or lower your amount, switch your payment card, pause for a few months, or cancel outright — no phone call and no explanation required. Changes made before your next charge date take effect immediately, and you can also message our donor care team to update your recurring gift.
We refund donation errors in full. If you entered the wrong amount, gave twice by accident, or did not intend to start a monthly gift, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will return the funds to the original payment method. Refunds usually appear on your statement within five to ten business days, and we will send you a corrected receipt for your records.
Your receipt is emailed automatically the moment your payment clears. Monthly donors receive a receipt for each charge plus a single year-end summary every January that totals your giving for tax filing. If a receipt never arrived, check your spam folder first, then ask us to resend it to any address you prefer.
